Good As Gold Group is a music PR platform for bands, artists, festivals and other live events looking at gaining press attention and coverage through print and online media, specialist radio and TV plugging.
Good As Gold aims to create bespoke campaigns for clients whether it’s full label rosters, major label clients, independent labels, unsigned bands, live promoters, festival bookers and more.
The company's current press and PR roster includes established acts like Tom Delonge's Angels and Airwaves, Perry Farrell and Janes Addiction, Faith No More, Sum 41, She & Him, Bob Vylan, AFI, L.S. Dunes, PVRIS, Manchester Orchestra, Pierce The Veil, The Offspring, Thrice, Rolo Tomassi, Drain, Against The Current, Knocked Loose, HEALTH, Show Me The Body, Wage War, Citizen, The Story So Far, Balance & Composure and more. To some of the most exciting new and emerging bands from all corners of the globe, across all genres, like De'Wayne, Zand, Seeyouspacecowboy, Hot Milk, Meryl Streek, Dead Pony, Zulu, Chubby And The Gang, Skeggs, Holy Fawn, Mothica, Winona Fighter, The Callous Daoboys & more.
On top of that, the company runs radio plugging for Bob Vylan, Spiritbox, Chelsea Wolfe, Sum 41, Pierce The Veil, HEALTH, Manchester Orchestra, Janes Addiction, De'Wayne, The Offspring and more.
The company also runs PR for events including 2000trees Festival and ArcTanGent Festival (winners of the best medium and small festivals in the UK 2018+2023), as well as works as line up consultants across both events. This live event work follows previous work on Outbreak Festival in Manchester, the Polaris Music Prize (Canada) as well as previously growing Slam Dunk Festival from it’s infancy to arena size.
Between Directors Matt Hughes & Hayley Connelly they share a wealth of music industry knowledge spanning over 18 years. From their previous roles in TV (at Chart Show TV and Top Of The Pops) to running PR departments at Indie labels, being senior publicists at some of the then top PR companies who represented the likes of Metallica, Motley Crue and The Hives, to then running their own successful businesses for the last 10 years. Both have been responsible for breaking some of rocks most beloved artists in the UK like My Chemical Romance, Bullet For My Valentine, PVRIS, Bring Me The Horizon and working in pop with Kimberly Wyatt of The Pussycat Dolls/ Got To Dance. They have also been speakers within their field at the BBC Introducing event, Amplify, Big Sound Australia, a Mentor at the Women Of The World Festival.
